We’ve been back from Scotland for over a week, I’ve just been lazy about blogging lately.
We left here the morning of February 19, and spent 2 days in Cumbernauld. From there, it’s only a short drive to the wonderful city of Stirling, home of the world’s friendliest and most polite people EVER — and this coming from a Canuck says a lot!!
Got to see Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, and the Falkirk Wheel.
We were married at the Stirling Registration Office on Feb 21, at 2pm. Our witnesses were 2 random strangers we borrowed from the library across the street! LOL
The next morning, we headed up to Inbhir Nis (which looks cooler written in Gaelic) and drove all the way around Loch Ness. I didn’t spot Nessie, but I adopted a tiny stuffed replica though. She now lives on top of my monitor with a leopard-spotted tree frog.
Yes, we tried haggis. It’s actually quite nice.
We also spent some time strolling around Glasgow, and visited the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. Then headed back down south, stopping in Lancaster to see the Butterfly House!
We took 1500+ photos, all of which are behind the [Read the rest of this entry] tag!

I have yet to actually encounter a carpeted washroom for myself — thankfully both places we’ve lived have had lino floors. But.. ugh.
If ever I want to put down bright pink bathroom carpet, I now know where to find it! *rolls eyes*
