Ipswich & Felixstowe

We spent this weekend in Ipswich. On Saturday, we drove into Felixstowe and had a picnic lunch on the beach. It’s a pebbly beach, and some rocks, when scraped against other rocks, will leave a mark. I think I managed an excellent likeness of Zippy with the orange one.

No visit to the seaside is complete without the obligatory visit to the Amusements. I won a sweet little keychain from the 2p coin pushers! Yay!

Fish & Chips always tastes better by the seaside. The place we ate at was right across the street from the shoreline!

Today, we went for a stroll through Orwell Country Park, which is right beside the Orwell Bridge.

While climbing over a fallen tree, this little fellow jumped out and scared the heck outta me! At least he was kind enough to pause for a brief photo before continuing on his way.

For lunch, I had my first cornish pasty — a chicken “cornish pasty-inspired” thingy from Oggy Oggy. Mmm!!
Edit: I have just been informed that if the pasty I had was made with chicken, then it was not, in fact, a true cornish pasty. The offending paragraph in question has been updated accordingly. Purists! ![]()
